claude-plugins

This repository is a Claude Code plugin marketplace named astrosteveo-plugins. It lists four plugins. Gauge and Aside are in this repository, and the other two have repositories of their own.

Gauge, Aside and github-workflow are mods, which hook into Claude Code's interface. Mods are an early access part of Claude Code, so a Claude Code release can break a mod until the mod is updated. Gauge and Aside need Claude Code v2.1.296 or later.

Install

Run this command in Claude Code, with the plugin you want in place of gauge:

/plugin install gauge --marketplace astrosteveo/claude-plugins

The first install asks you to add the marketplace (answer y) and then for a scope: user (all your projects), project (everyone who works in the repository) or local (only you, in this project). Each plugin's README covers its commands and settings.

Updates

An installed plugin updates only when its version changes. After a release, update it from /plugin, or run:

claude plugin update <name>@astrosteveo-plugins

Then run /reload-plugins in Claude Code.

Working on a plugin

1. Add the marketplace from your checkout, so Claude Code reads the plugins in place:

   /plugin marketplace add /path/to/claude-plugins
   

2. Edit a plugin under plugins/<name>/, then run /reload-plugins to load the change. No release is needed.

3. Check the plugin before you open a pull request:

   claude plugin validate plugins/<name> --strict
   claude plugin test plugins/<name>

CI runs claude plugin validate --strict on the marketplace and on every plugin, for each pull request and each push to main, using the latest Claude Code.

Pull requests don't change versions. RELEASING.md explains how to release a batch of merged changes.
